Default 2006 Turkey Season Is Over In NC

The 2006 turkey season is now over for me.

Results = Turkeys 3 jrbsr 0

It wasn't because I didn't try.

The 8 Ball was hanging over my head.

Mostly because of going to the wrong locations.

One spot of public land I spent most of my time
Was just to small for the amount of hunters
Hunting it.

The other public land I know that turkeys are at
Loggers were logging privite land behind it and driving across
The public land right where the turkeys were at.

I pulled off of me 14 ticks that were embeded in
I left my turkey vest in my truck and now the turck is full of ticks.
Every time I get in I see one crawling on the seat.
Any one know how to get rid of them ?

I will have to find a better place to hunt next year.

I hope every one else had better luck than I did.
Oh well I had to vent.

I gues its off to the lakes and ponds for some fish now.

You might want to set a bug bomb off in your truck

Public land I think is the hardest type of turkey hunting.
On small tracts of public land.

The ones that I can get to only have three points to enter it.
And is surronded by private land.
And the spots you can enter is about 75 to 100 yards wide.
Its onlt like 1 mile wide and about 1 3/4 miles long.
Shaped kinda like a hour glass.
So you are limeted on where you can enter.
And most days there is 2 to 4 cars/trucks parked.
Its just to many people to hunt this size land.

Oh well I will have to find some private land I can afford.
And lease it.

And all the people around me that brag on there leases.
When they come around and ask me to hunt on my lease.
I think I will just say,
Remember when you wouldn't let me hunt with you on
Your lease.
Well you can just KISS THIS THIS ( And you know what I mean )

I hope every one that still has a open season
And those that the season is just opening up.

God Luck & I hope You Get A Big One
