Default a great opening morning.

well it all started the first morn that i got to go in the missouri spring season. so first off my alarm clock was set wrong and almost didnt wake me up,but i woke up so it was fine. Then i headed out and figured id stop at mcdonalds to grab some breakfast. AFTER eatting i got to my land got my gear on and headed up the steep hill to my favorite spot. Half way there i was greeted with a tom on the roost gobblin less than 75 yds into the woods, so i frooze and sat in the tall grass and waited for him. After some calling he got off the roost but wouldnt come out of the small valley, so i thought id slip into the woods less than 15 ft behind me and get in front of him cuz i n=knew they use that trail. half way there he stops gooblin and wont respond to anything i tryed. But on the way out i did see four nice size does which was a plus. so at about 8:00 i had to go to the bathroom real bad so i had to go into town which isnt far but on the way out on the trail i happened onto that tom which flew out of a brush pile like a bat out of hell. So on the way back i saw him in the small field next to the road, there he was the biggest tom id ever seen he had to way bout 28lbs and have a 10 inch beard. so i jumped out and followed a back trail to sneak up on him only to find that he slipped off to when i wasnt watching. to make a long story short i jumped him a total of 3 times that day and didnt have a shot once. but hey theres always next week.
