Default welp fellas..mother nature kicked my butt again

Went to green ridge this last night, even though i was almost sure it would be raining. Well it did rain.....ALOT. got up in rain, tried locating in rain, setup in rain and.....left in rain lol. Me and my girl sat by this creek bottom til about 7, then we road around trying to use the crow call to locate one and we couldnt hear anything. so we packed up and left. Honestly, that was a miserable hunt. just hunting makes it not that bad....but compared to other huunts....i wouldnt have minded stayin home this weekend[8D]any1 kill a turkey 2day?

I've been out 4 times and each time there has been sustained winds of at least 20MPH. Not too condusive to turkey hunting. I'm going out to some public land tonight about 3 hours from home. I will try to locate birds tonight and then camp. The weather forcast is for highs in the upper 80s today and tomorrow but winds should be calm. God I hope so!

Move to the fields in the rain, if you are having a hard time hearing in the woods so are the birds which is a disadvantage to them. Good luck
