I have an 835 with a 28" barrel I am using for turkey hunting. I plan on using some type of hevi-shot. What would be the best combo of choke tube and ammo to use with this gun....also, what will be the effective range....thanks.
My hunting buddy bought an 835 this year...already killed 2 turkeys (he killed one and another buddy killed another with)...He has the standard xx full turkey choke that came with the gun....Uses Federal Premium 2 oz #5s....One of these turkeys was killed at a ranged 56 yards.....???Who needs Heavy Shot??? LOL
I have the 835 Ulti-Mag with the 20" barrel. Just sighted the gun in today using a 2" extended Rhino choke and Nitro 4x5x7 hevi-shot. All I can say is devistating patterns out to 50 yards. Expensive, but if you have the money, buy the Rhino for your gun and some Nitro's and go kill some turkeys. Have never seen a better patterning combo.
