Default I Heard Him Gobble

I went in 2 hours earlyer.
And I heard a gobble about 100 or so yards away.
I hurryed up and set up my 2 deks a hen and a jake.
And started soft purrs and clucks.
Then I heard him gobble about 200 or better yards away.
I think he was going with some hens.

I will be glad when I ever get this thing figured out.
I keep getting close but you know.
Close only counts with
House shoes and hand granades

I stopped around 2 pm acording the the weather we have a bad storm
Coming and it was getting cloudy.
Plus I thought today was the day to regester for clases
At the community collage.
I come home and read the papers and its in may not april to regester.
And it gets clear with the sun shinning bright.
But I talk to some one on the phone close to where
I was hunting and its dark and looks like the bottom is about to drop.

Oh well I will keep trying and trying.
I will be glad when we do get some rain.
Its like walking on corn flakes in the woods the leaves are so dry.

Any Way Good luck To Every One Else

I hope you get a Big one

Hey, your hunting, it'll come. Our season doesn't start until another week. Wednesday I went out before work and didn't get 50 yards from my front door towards the field and Gobbbllblblbllble..So I slowed the pace because of the open woods and sat down. He gobbled periodically and then I saw him strutin...I sat and glass but never called of course. Then I spotted a hen, then another, then another and then one more....I'll have my work cut out on that big longbeard.

Opening day I'm taking a local news/outdoor show hunting and they are previewing the calls and myself for the show next Sunday night....that'll be fun but I won't be pulling the trigger...I'm the caller and the guide. Wish me Luck.
