Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default How Far Is Too Far?

I'm going with the bow this year and so far I have got my bow sighted for perfect quarter size groupings in vitals at 25 yards, I am just wondering, how far do I really need to be accurate at before my hunting season? Basically, what do ya'll think is too far to take with the bow?

Default RE: How Far Is Too Far?

I am also taking my bow this year. I can consistantly hit vitals at 40 yards, however I won't shoot at a turkey over 30 yards. Escpecially if youfactor in the nerves and shaking. I know it sounds close, but if you put your decoys 10-15 yards from your blind, you shouldn't have a problem getting a turkey within 25 yards of your blind before he might get hung up.
