Default Easter Turkey

This will be long.....lol...........

my weekend started on thurs. night, met Benhuntin', showed him Toso., scouted a lil...then me and fl slept in the beds of our truck...that morning, had a gobbler taking his time coming in, then my phone rang 3 times, he shut up....my fault, i'm sure, even though my ring tone is crickets, the movement might of been seen, but anyway i had a great morning...that evening i went to roost a bird...then fl and i and benhuntin' hung out for a few...the next morning, nothing not a peep....went to lone cabbage and had lunch with benhunting and fl before he left....enjoyed hanging out wit Benhuntin', he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.....lastnight i needed a bed, so i slept from like 5p.m. to 2.a.m., got out there, nothing , so i was walking and calling, i set up in 3 different areas, the last area was where i had taken a bird a coupleyears ago, so i decided to hunt there for old times sake.....now y'all can laugh if you'd like but this is what happened....before every hunt i ask God to guide me and go on my hunt with me...so i'm sitting there clucking and purring and scratching the leaves every 20 minutes or so....i did this a few times...i was thanking God for the wonderful, exciting season i have had and for the birds takenthat i was a part of, but then i'm like "God if i'm going to get a bird today will you give me a sign cause i'm really tired, lol", then i started singing my turkey hunting song...ATS knows the words, lol....it's remake of"it's a great day to be alive" by travis tritt...it wasn't a minute later, balalalalalaaaaaaaaa, from behind me, i switched positions... i'm like "God, you DO talk to me(shocked smiley should go here), lol"...i was hoping he listened to me too, lol....so i clucked, nothing, so i yelped.....balalalalalaaaaaa, i shut up....balalalalaaaaaaa again, but there was 2 of em this time...so i talked to them, and shut up, i was hoping that they'd come right where they did...i saw beard and boom....another bird gone down .then out from nowhere , actually right behind him, this other longbeard started kicking my dead birds butt, then 2 jakes joined in, so i took a couple of pics and realized i could video them....so i did i started yelping with my mouth , just messing with them and the big boy gobbled, this went on a a minute or so, then the 2 jakes walked to the right of me, talking to me the whole time, then they saw me and started putting, well i clucked and yelped softly at em and then i started cutting at em...BALALALALAAAAAAAA the longbeard didnt want to go anywhere , he was wanting that hen he came too, lol...and i got it all on video ...i actually had to get up out of my blind before he took off ....and he still gobbled after that, lol........i got to see the jakes beat up ATS's bird, that was a first, then it happened to me today , it was unreal.......the stats are....call osage orange/glass call by Andy after the birds were done with my bird ended up having 6 full tails feathers and he was spurred all over...
9 3/4 '' beard
1 1/4 '' spurs
and a whopping 14 lbs, lol........he was worn out from sharing all of his loooveeeeeeeee,lol.....
my eyes looked closed , but i was really looking at the beard, lol....but its the only decent one i have......i wish the one of the call would of shown the kaiser kall better too in the one pic....to get an Easter bird is something i have always dreamed of being blessed with and today i was i'll post pics of me and benhuntin' later
