Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Winchester fps

Was looking at winchester loads today. Noticed that the Winchester #6 3" had a fps of 1300, but if you got the same load in their heavy shot version the fps drops to 1275. Is this 25 fps a big deal? I'm assuming a loss in velocity because of the heavier bb?

Nope, you will not be able to notice a difference of 25 fps. I can
tell you from experience that the Win Extended range loads will
out perform the regular Win Supremes, at least in my shotgun,
and they will have better penetration.

The HS will have more energy at the target, that's what counts.
