Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Day 20, Gobbled twice.

It was extremely foggy this morning, he was the only bird to gobble and he only did that twice. I called going away from him, got about 200 yds and stoped, then turned around and snuck back ( that's sneak to y'all that ain't from south Ga.) in on him, well that worked well, never heard another word from him.

Well that's it, I've already loaded my four wheeler, I'm going deep into the swamp tomorrow, gonna hunt a bird that hasn't been hunted this year.

Just wait til I get my books, heck with all that new found knowledge, he's a dead bird.

You gonna read those books or throw 'em at the bird [8D]

Sorry, couldn't resist...

You know, in these situations, I like to let it really ride and just get stupid aggressive. I've even been known to shoot stumps to get nasty old gobblers to shock gobble...

Really, I think I have a few tricks you can try.

1) Set up as far away as possible, and just start hammering the calls at flydown time. If he gobbles, he may be yours. Plan to wait him out...he won't come soon, but he may come steady.

2) Try a different locator call, and find one that drives him nuts. If you can locate him, you can hunt him...

Hey S&R,

Well If I don't learn anything new, at least I'll hopefully have some good reading for a few days.

I'll try what you suggested. As a matter of fact, I'd try anything right now. However, I'm gonna go deep in the swamp tomorrow and see if I can call up a bird that hasn't been aggravated.
