went out sat.morn .first time this season .a buddy took me to 1 of his spots .after walkin in almost a mile we get set up and BOOM,BOOM,BOOM,BOOM.just across the creek a 100 yds.well that was that. wont be goin nowhwere where i dont know whats goin on and who alls huntin.
any way get a nap at home and decide to get after the toms while the hens were on the nest.first gate i get into .shut the door get my grip together and just hit a few calls on the mouthcall and a tom hammered not 100 yrds around the bend from me .eased around and saw he was comin so just set down on the fence row and called softly to him and in just a few he was pokin around the corner to meet a load Duplexes from the 12ga.couldnt have worked out better so i could get home and take the granddaughter to the snake festival. 20 lb ,10 in rope and 1 in.spurs.
