Default My first Tennessee Gobbler

Just wanted to let you all know that I got my first Turkey this past Saturday on opening day in Tennessee. He was 16 1/2 lbs, had a 8 1/4 beard and 7/8 spurs. Called a few times on a box call and he popped up behind me over a small hill and headed straight for the decoys, got within 5 yrds of the decoys and realized he was had, raised his head and started looking around, and the he thought he was going to head for the hills instead he was headed to my table.Popped him from about 35 yds. My heart is still pounding just thinking about it. hopefully he will be the first of many. will post a pic when i get it back.
