killed this timber rattler this morning while turkey huntn, caught him crossing a dirt road, 11 rattlers &1 button,4ft 2" long, sure glad we didn't come up on him while working a bird, with the weather warming up, becareful,and good luck

you really shouldnt kill them, they keep the rat and mice population down, and they wont get you unless you mess with them. and they let you know if your too close. copperheads imitate rattlesnakes by shaking there tails in leaves. sorry for the little rant but i keep snakes as pets and people that dont like them dont realize how beneficial they really are in the wild.
Hey JW, don't let a little snake keep you from hunting the south. You just have to ignor them, more or less, just at like they're furniture and keep going. Oh, and wear snake boots.
