Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Tipping an Outfitter

I'll be heading on my first semi-guided hunt at the end of April out west for a Merriam's. What type of tip (if any) is customary? There are guides, people cooking and tending camp, etc.

Default RE: Tipping an Outfitter

my suggestion is to contact your guide service...remember he'll be your best friend once your in camp. Unless he's a fly by night outfitter, he'll be honest with you. Also, you might try contacting the Dept. of Conversation in that state....they would know what the local sales taxes andcompensatory rules are for the guide services.
