Default Scarred gobbled, will he come back tomorrow?

I ended up sneaking up on two large gobblers, not realizing they were there. I was within 25-30 yds when we both realized each others presence. They were scared so bad, they both flew away immediately. I was thinking about going back to that area to set up tomorrow, but wondered if it was unlikely that they will come back after today's encounter? Do they remember stuff like that and stay away or do they forget pretty quick?

They may be wary of that particular spot that you spooked them at, but they will be in the area for sure and likely gobbling just like normal in the morning. They are unpredictable, I've seen it both ways.

I had a buddy miss a turkey 30 seconds after he hit the ground off the roost. He flew down to the same spot every morning thats why we were there. Well I killed the bird 3 weks later, but he never flew down againto the spot my buddy missed him even thoughhe continued roosting in the same stand of trees.

They may remember, or not. If its a spot they really like, they may be back. I for sure wouldn't want to spook them a second time, been there a few times

I'd say they will most likely be back in their same "general" area tommarrow, but there is no way to tell for sure. Just get out there in the morning and listen for them. Good luck!

stay in the area....just change your location...thirty to maybe fifty yards difference can be all you need...maybe even change the direction you call to
