Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default SC Hunt Report

The birds gobbled good on the roost and for the first hour or so after they hit the ground. They are henned up though. No hen talk at all! Makes me think they are going straight to the gobblers.

I did manage to kill one the second day. He came into my strutting decoy around 11:15 a.m., he strutted around it 3 times then stopped and head butted it three times. Finally he flogged it! I killed him at about 20 yards.

16.7 lbs, 10 1/2 inch beard (pencil thin) and 3/4 inch spurs

The next day around 10:45 my buddy killed one over the strutting decoy. The bird came running with his head down in attack mode. My buddy shot it before it could attack though.

18.5 lbs, 10 inch beard and 1 1/8 inch spurs

I am heading back down next week. Can't wait!

Do you really believe not talking about it on the Internet is going to stop out of state hunters? Maybe shortening your season or bag limits might discourage people or get rid of the NWTF...
