Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Please help

My buddy and i are looking to turkey hunt this spring in southern ohio, home of the longbeards. We are both firefighters and paramedics and are very responsible men.
Problem is that we are tired of doing the public land thing, one it is dangerous and two we both have had other hunters ruin a good hunt.
I know it is asking alot, but would someone be kind enough to get us on their land to take our first turkeys in 2006. Would really mean alot to both of us. If anyone replies, please reply to my personal email at buckeyegundogs@yahoo.com.

Thanks
Brad

Best way is to go knockin on doors! most people dont care about spring turkey hunting and find them a nuisance. Should be rather easy to locate some land? Just make sure you're nice about it!

yep..MDManiac makes a great point, check with your local farmers...i've made a good friend by doing just this, I've offered to help him with spring planting, mostly being his grunt worker hauling seed from the truck and dumping it into the bunk of his planter. I've offered to help him with hay, both in the field and in the barn..and in return he's been very welcoming in letting me hunt his property for turkeys...I've even given him a bird or two for his troubles (plucked and wrapped in freezer paper of course). We've been friends for a long time.
