Default Question about Win. Ext range shells
Seems like the majority of you use this load. Is this a lead load? I use the Rem. hevishot but was just wondering about this shell since many of you swear by it. I'm always willing to experiment but I would rather stick with the non-lead loads.

No its not lead. Its Winchester's version of Hevi-Shot.

No, not lead. Tungsten-nickel composite I believe.

I love this stuff, so does my Ithaca.

It's softer than hevi-shot, and safe to shoot through regular "lead" turkey chokes.

At 45 yards I average about 30 pellets of #6 in the vitals.
