Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Jake turkey green on bottom. Is that realistic?

Took back the life lite cheapie that split in the seam and picked up the RedHead rubberized jake. I like the rubberized decoy the way it is rugged, holds shape ok, will move in wind.

But the Jake is green on the bottom. I can see if you are hunting in a field, but where I hunt it is in the woods. For those of you who have had success with jake decoys, does color matter? I'm hunting easterns, and here is the exact decoy I got:

Tom won't care if jake has a little green on him. i thought the decoy was pretty realistic. i saw a ton of jakes up close this fall and they really do have some green and bronze on them.

Looks good enough to me, if I was a big bad Tom I sure would come to chase him off! [8D]

Thanks for the positive input. Again, I really like the durability and ability of the rubberized to hold shape, not rip, and it doesn't look like the paint will wear fast on it either...
