Default NWTF members?

Areany of you members of the National Wild Turkey Federation? They
are having a banquet in my town this coming weekend and I am
thinking about joining the NWTF and going to the banquet. I have heard
good things about the NWTF and just wanted to know if anyone thought
differently of them before I join.

Default RE: NWTF members?

I was a member for a long time.they do some good work.they are just like any of the other orginations, Money,Money.ofsome lots of it is spent on good things.

I am no longer a member for one reason; (Kinda hardheaded on my part I guess),a matter of princepable I guess.[&:]

I took a real nice Osceola a few years back.it was a truly nice bird.he weighted 21 lbs. 8 oz. 10 3/4" beard 1 1/8" spurs.Thats really good for an Osceola bird.he was witneesed by a Fla. FWC officer.

my problem was when I tried to get it resigerted and in the NWTF book, they said the person with me on the hunt was not a member so I could not enter it in there book.[:'(]

I felt that if my word and my witness's word , just because he was not a member was not good enough, then they don't need me or my money.it was sorta like they said because he was not a member he was lying.just my thinking but does a membership fee make him tell it any different?[:@] [:@] [:@].

thats just the way I feel about the NWTF. enjoy and good hunting.

I love it, and the auctions and banquets have been excellent. Usually nice stuff and our local one has extra things donated, and extra guns that are purchased with some monies! It is a great time, wish I was gonna be home for this year! [8D]

Go and join. You'll meet some fine people and get to visit with other turkey nuts.
