Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Locater calls

Hey everyone im new to this type of great huntin. I was wondering if its ok to use a locator call while your scouting or if you just use them during the season?

A locator call is all I use during scouting. I also use a locator call before sunrise (owl hooter) and after sunrise I will use a crow call to locate during turkey season.

I like to use a coyote howl often too... It gets them gobblin, but they run if your hunting them...

You can use a locator if u want when scouting. It may only work when it is closer to breeding season. Basically..a turkey will gobble at noise they here. Ive closed my truck door one time and he gobbled to me. A locator call gives em' a reason to call. It triggers em' off. I use an owl call early in the mornin' and a crow call in the afternoon. Good luck and have fun!!!

Has anyone tried Primos's peacock locator call? I was wanting to know if it is worth the money to try it out along with crow/owl calls...

i normally would of used an owl in the a.m. and the crow later in the morning , but after last year the crow had them gobblin' in the dark.....so i'm going with the crow call.......and an owl, but it'll be the crow first....
