Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Scope?

I was thinking about using a scope and was wondering if the people that use them have ever had a problem with the lense reflecting light and spooking turkeys.

Default RE: Scope?

I use Bushnells turkey scope, it has cross hairs with a circle for the kill area....fantastic scope. I was shopping for the Pro Diamond and was introduced to Bushnells and chose it....I honestly think you won't spook birds with the lens under most...again most circumstances...as we know turkeys have incredible eyes and if the light reflected wrong of the lens it could spook them however I don't believe I've ever seen it myself...and talking with Adrian your mod here for the forum, he's been using a scope for more years than I've actually hunted birds myself...that says alot....I've also video'd many, many birds and have never spooked the birds with the video lenses....if your shopping for a scope, have no fear....it's usually too late for the birds anyway...lol

Default RE: Scope?

thanks Rob, I didn't think It would make that much of a difference because of the video production, if they can film as many turkeys being killed as they do i didn't think it would matter about the reflection of a lense(most of the time you set up in the shade anyway). I was just wanting to get some opions. Thanks
