Default Maintaining Mouth Calls

How and what do you use to maintain your mouth calls ?

Me I soak mine in Listerine.
I works for me.
Befoe I started useing Listerine I would get a sore throte.
Since cleaning them in Listerine it hasn't happened.
And the reeds don't stick togher.

After all Listerine Kills Germs by the Millions on contact

So what do yall use to clean and maintain your mouth calls ?

Thank You

Mouth wash will work to kill the germs but so will rinsing them in good hot water....the alcohol in the mouth wash will break down the latex if left in...but they do taste better the next time.

that's usually what i do. not by choice i usually lose them on accident.

during the season or if i do manage to keep a mouth call very long i use listerine and hot water.

I rinse them in hot water,Put a spacer between the reeds and store em in the fridge.Mouthwash works good but like Rob said it's not good for the latex so after the mouthwash I'd still rinse them well with water.

I suck with mouth calls, People say im alright but I think I suck, So I practice till they wear out and throw em out. There pretty cheap. Never take them into the woods. Id like to call in the turkeys not call them away lol. But i normally drop them in mouth wash for about 1 min, Rinse in hott water, out tooth picks between the latex and place them in the fridge

I learned the hard way, clean them before the first use as well subsequent session. I kept getting bad throat infections every year when I picked up my practicing (and bought new calls) and learned that I have a reaction to the new latex (or maybe the tape) on new calls.
That is no fun!

Yep that would be me also!Luckily I'm satisfied with a mass produced call,so I buy new every year, having them broke in and ready to go come season..

I usely rinse them out with Listerine then rinse with water.
I do this in between each time I use them.
It keeps me from getting a sore throte.
I also get a couple new ones each year.

I use mine year round so I usually wear out the calls in less than a year. I just go buy more. But when not in use they get washed in hot water and placed in the fridge.
