Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default NY Turkey

I use to travel to NY for about 10 years and hunt with friends that had hunting camps in the Jasper-Canasto area and always enjoyed it. Since I've retired I don't think I could fight those hills but always was able to kill some nice birds up there. I always thought that their season should open about two wks before May 1. Their hens are already laying by that date and a good many of them are already setting. A lot of good hunting is gone by the time the season opens. What say ya'll?????????

I would say ya would have good hunting left, especially if the hens are laying and on their nests. That frees up the gobblers from the hens.
