This may be a stupid question, I have never hunted Turkey before. Is there anyplace in Florida to go Turkey hunting? I live in the Fort Lauderdale area, but can pretty much travel anywhere in the state or Georgia.

Florida is one of the toughest States to find ground to hunt. Outfitters tend to lease up alot of the good areas. The is however some Management areas that you can try , but they are packed most of the times. Special Opp hunts for some of the smaller management areas are available. If you are looking in the direction of an Outfitter , I can help you out aswell in that field, but you may have to hunt with me ...BT
permits need to be in by 11-11 (i think)
check out myfwc.com and you'll be able to get all the information you'll need.
hopefully you'll find someplace close but if not there's always central florida...bull creek and three forks you can hunt without a permit...and there's camping as well.
