Need advice on first turkey hunt!

I am interested in going on a fall turkey hunt here in Oklahoma. I have all the camo I need, but what are some good tactics? I don't have a lot of time to go scouting around for turkey. How would I know where to go? Also, what type of shot should I use? We can use rifles here in the fall, but I would prefer to use my new Mossberg 935. Do I need a 3.5" shell? Also, my Mossberg has the shadow grass camo on it for waterfowl. Can turkey's spot this easily? Thanks for any info! Matt

welcome to the world of turkey hunting.
the camo pattern on your mossburg is fine and will not make a differance.

no you do not need a 3.5 shell...... 2and3/4 will do the job just as well.

when it come's to using calls during the fall season(speaking about bird's in ny) most people will use softer purrs...clucks and the kee kee. other times it is better to try to bust up a flock of birds and then sit and try to call them back in.

when it comes to scouting ask the local farmers...ect... sometimes they will be able to get you pointed into a general direction.

im sure i have left out alot of info but im sure several others here that are more knowledgeble than myself will give you some pointers also.
