Default How long does your mounts take?

How long does everyones turkey mounts take to get back from the taxi? Mine the lady said it would be around 9 months! i thought that was a really lond time considering i wasnt even getting a full body mount on it. but its probly really good work shes well known for her birds in Illinois.

Depends greatly on the timming. Get it in early in the season cuts down on.......well.......down timeMine have ranged from 3 months to a year!

the time it takes is really not the time you get it back.it depends on how busy they are.if your first it may be a few mo's.later in the season it may take a year.

my Osceola tail,beard, and wings took 14 months, he was really busy. My wife's eastern we took this spring for full body is supposed to be back in about 10 months

Rush them and you get a sloppy job done , but then again , I've been waiting near 5 years for a couple and still have not got them [:@]...BT

If it takes more than 12 month to get your mount back I would look for another taxidermist!!! Most of these guys will not turn work away even if they cant do the work they all ready have

I always expect a year from a quality taxidermist. Anything less makes me wonder why they are not as busy as the rest. But that being said, my taxidermist is a personal friend of mine and I don't ask for favors, he's one of the best and is full time and very busy. My bird from last year I got back this June took 13 months....he does cut me a break on price tho.
