Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Jim,

Go to the Wild turkey zone webpage and look at the links, or contact Maytom. He builds (or has built) all kinda "stuff" to display prized turkey parts, and in the past he had some good links for other ideas.

I actually think the one you're speaking of, with the shotgun brass embedded into wood with a backer plate, was one of Maytom's designs. It's pretty simple enough to build one similar...just remove the brass from the shells and drill holes into the board (same diameter as the shells, probably ~1/2"?) and set the shells. Then hotglue the beards into the shells. Attach to a backer plate, add an optional front plate, and customize/decorate as you wish. Obviously, it will be better to design and decorate before actually setting the beards...

Jim,

Sorry about sending you to the Wild Turkey zone...that site has changed drastically since I visited it last (which was a looong time ago).

I think this link may be what you want...

http://forum.hunting.net/asppg/tm.as...isplay&#874754

If it doesn't pull up, just type "beard display" in the BBS search engine, under turkey hunting and go back 1 year.
