Default Any action in Maryland?

I wasn't able to get out last weekend and hunted the prior 2 weekends up in Pa. How is the action here in Maryland at this time of the season. Anybody hearing anything in the morning? Are the hens on the nest for the most part now? What phase of the seaon would you say we are in and what is the best tactic at this point?

Thanks for any info you can give!

Default RE: Any action in Maryland?

The last day I hunted in Maryland was on 5/6. That day I had one going but he escaped to some private property. I moved to another location and called in 3 hens. I moved at the wrong time and they putted off before I could see if they had any males in tow?? Seems to me like the hens were still traveling with the toms at this time. I'm not so sure that the toms were done, I think they still had plenty of company. We experienced the same thing in PA. the first 2 weekends of that season. We got some answers but they kept going the other way like they were following their real girlfriends. My cousin called from Pa. this past weekend and said he finally connected on Sat. and the birds seemed to be opening up a little more. I think we just have a case of later nesting by the hens??
