Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default My First Bow Turkey

Hi everyone, I have been hanging around the boards for quite some time even though I have not posted. I want to thank everyone for all of the excellent information they have given. I have to say that I have learned a lot. Well, I drew a late season for turkey this year, but I was excited to try it out with a bow. Yesterday, I was able to take my first turkey with a bow! He was 21.5 lbs. with a 9" beard and 1.5" spurs. Needless to say, I am very proud, but I attribute my success to reading all of the helpful information contained in these boards. My digital camera is not the greatest, but here is a picture. Thanks to everyone! --

That is awesome. I will be trying the WI woods this weekend with a bow. I have not gotten one in the spring with a bow. I did in the fall a few years back and I think spring is much harder. Congrats on a very fine bird.
