Default bird 2 season done in ny!

got a thumper the other day

22lbs
1"
1-1/16"

9.5 beard.

he was a fatty!

i had to climb a SERIOUS cliff to get to him in the near dark. he started gobbling at 4:45 am! wierd!

flew down and NOT A PEEP!

i sat for an hour, then hit the call. i hear a gobble about 400 yds away. i got situated and hit the call again ...200 yds! he's trucking. cluck, cluck, 100 yds.... yelp....50 yds...see his head....kick the leaves...GOBBLEOBBLEOBBLE20 yards bang-o!

and believe me , it happened as fast as you can read this! pretty cool. not the double bearded sucker i was after for the past few years but a dandy nonetheless!

no i will be out filming and helping call for others. i just wish i had more tags!!!
