Default Question for the "homebrew" makers.

I'm interested in making a homebrew camera, but I have no idea where to even start. Can you guys point me in the right direction? And I would love to use the black led's instead of IR's. My bushnell IR's are spooking the mess out of just about every big buck that's walked in front of it. TIA.

I have built many white-flash cameras but have no experience with the IRs or black-flash. Here is a link to the only guy I know who is making the black-flash cameras. You might also join a site called hagshouse.com. Those guys are the real experts.

You may just have to do with the regular IR for these homebrews. I really don't keep up on the latest homebrew news, (built 7 myself) but the black IR stuff is not being used in evryday homebrews.

I could be wrong though. Like i said, i haven't been keeping up on the new technology.

For some "regular" homebrew building info, check these links out.
