Wildgame Innovations Red 6 Good or Bad

My son is wanting his own game camera and I have been looking at differnt ones. However today I bought a Wildgame Innvoations red 6 for him. Has anyone used these cameras, please tell my your thoughts on them ? Thanks

they do great i have great pictures of bears coyotes deer and elk i bought my son a wild game 6xc and that works well too

I have the 8mp and so far I like it a lot.

I just bought one online. I set it up in my back yard.






I set the delay to 1 minute and we watched the deer from the dining room window for a couple hours. I think I need to test this with the PIR setting turned to HIGH and adjust my mounting height.

I set it during the day and threw some peanuts out for the squirrels, they were frolicking in front if it but I did not get one pic on the camera....so.....I'm not that excited about it just yet.

I will continue playing with the settings and see if I can get it to work better.

I'm wondering if maybe the camera was set up too high for the squirrels or if the peanuts were maybe too close. If either happened, the camera would not trigger. Hope this helps. Thanks for sharing.

changed the PIR to HIGH ang got 65 pics including this monster

Wildgames have horrible trigger speed and love to eat up batteries.
Should have spent a little more money.

Not concerned about batteries as I have an external 6v that would be strong enough to power this camera for months between charges.

I read about the poor trigger speed on some of the older models. All the reviews on the RED 6 or model 6N seem pretty positive. My pics above seem to have good trigger speed....no?
