Default Finally Got a Decent Buck (pic)

Nothing big, but better than all the doe, fawn and yearling bucks I? had been getting. He wouldn't keep me from sleeping the night before buck season but would look nicer the closer it got to the end

That's a pretty nice buck. Don't think I'd pass him.

I didn't think he was that big when I first saw him. The more that I look at him, though, the better he looks. He does have nice bases and brows. And it looks like he either broke off the split brow or will have it next year.

Short tines and only 7 points would disappoint the "score" crowd, but he does look nice.

It is nice getting some decent bucks on camera isn't it? It's what most of us wait for. Thanks for sharing.

It's like running a trap-line for big game. The anticipation is awesome when checking the pictures.

I have one hanging in the orchard upstate where we saw a giant 6-point we've been watching for 7 years now. Just hoping to get a picture of him this year.

And there's always that unknown. There's always that real slammer than nobody every sees. He could walk by your camera at any time.

If I saw him from my stand, he would be riding home in the back of my truck. Thanks for posting.
