Default Eye level 9pt. video

This is a new buck I haven't seen this year. They have an awesome sense of smell don't they! He could smell my presence 2 days after I was there. Need to work on that for October!

No I didn't. Is that what everyone does? I've noticed several deer picking up on my scent or the sound of the camera. It seems to be more scent than anything else because of the nose going into the air like they are scenting something real faint but definately something I'm leaving behind.
I'll try spraying down everything next time.
Thanks everyone!

Thats a video you can be proud of. A very nice buck. My thought, if you had any morning dew, high humidity or rain, the scent would be gone. I suspect he is detecting some sound from the camera. I've had this happen a week or more after checking the camera. I've also had heavy dew or rain during that time as well.

I spray my cams down after I replace the cards.
You sure your cam doesn't make noises when it goes off and that's why he's on to it?

It's mounted on a willow bush that bucks rub on every year. I thought I would catch the bucks using it this year and was surprised to see this guy. It is a Leaf River camera which comes in camo color and I have "leafed" it in with willow cuttings. I think he definately smelled me. I will spray it down next time I go get the SD card.
