well i hunt in a few different areas in oregon, the one that i hope to attract cougars to is close to some areas that i havent seen much deer or elk sign or animals there anyways, mainly bear sign so im just trying to figure out more about cougars. i plan to deer and elk hunt far away from this possible cougar site!

Cats only eat fresh meat. They average a kill a week. Maybe a little more if they have cubs. The reason your not getting any pics is because of what you said "i havent seen much deer or elk sign or animals there anyways" Find a winter area or a concentration of animals and you'll find cats. These pics are from the Oregon Cascades

Or find a kill and place your cam on that.
