Default Bald Face Bear Inspecting

A video of the Bald Face Bear taken near Riding Mountain Park in Manitoba, Canada. I used a 2009 model Bushnell Trophy Camera. The bear ended up taking the camera off the tree by breaking the buckle. This saved the camera as there were no bite marks or claw marks on it. The camera landed face up. The bear then proceeded to remove the camera strap from the tree. This was all caught on video.

You're lucky that's all the bear did to your camera. I had one try to snack on my TC about a month ago. I have been able to salvage the camera and now need to put some epoxy ont he case before I put it back out in a bear box. I didn't think I had many bear around our place but the neighbor has since told me of four different bear so I will have bear safe boxes for all of my camera's soon. Just built one this last weekend for my Tasco.

Great video. I guess he liked the taste of the strap!
