Default some of this years bucks

We had a great trail cam year in KS this Nov. Lots of different bucks and the Coverts worked like a charm. I don't know how old this guy is, but he;s mature. He just doesn't have anything for head gear. I've seen more mature 6's in this area than any where I've ever hunted. I'm not an advocate of "Cull bucks" but this one qualfies if you're so inclined! lol Check out the neck on him in the second picture!

This one isn't mature, but I don't have any reason to believe he'll ever be more than an impressive 6. Last year
I shot and lost his big brother. Only difference in the 2 was width, the one I lost was 19" wide easy. We had a really cool encounter with this one on video one evening as he chased a doe right by us.

I saw this guy the evening of the 9th as well. 1 mile north of where this pic was taken. He was headed in the direction of the camera and crossed the road in front of me. He was very impressive in person. Not much tine length which is obvious, but everything else was very impressive. I believe he may be on the down hill slide. He was just BIG. He has 8 scoreable points.

I coulda been hunting this spot the day this one was taken. Instead we sat a green field and saw some scrubs.......

Another example of shoulda coulda woulda........

Here is the same 8 in my best ever night time trail cam picture

Never seen this one. Got pics of him in several locations. He'll be a nice buck in a year or 2.

last one for now. Never seen this one either. Looks like a 3 1/2 to me. Ought to be a dandy next year.

Meet Crabclaws, he's the prettiest 3 y/o I've ever laid eyes on. Saw him in person for the first time on Nov 9th as I rolled into KS for a 10 day hunt. I guess he'll hit 150 gross pretty easy. Watched him dog a doe from 100 yards right off the side of the road across the river from some property I have access to. At the time I hadn't seen any good trail cam pics of him. When we checked cams the next day I immediately recognized him. I saw him 3 more times from the stand. He was very timid and did not like calls of any kind. He'd stop and look and turn the other way. We don't know if he made it through the KS gun season or not. We do know that a couple neighboring lease holders agreed to not shoot him this year. Unfortunately there's an outfitter near by and I really doubt most folks would pass on this deer while on a paid hunt. I can't wait to get back out in April to look for his sheds.

Great pictures! Great bucks!

I always feel like the scoutguard leaves something to be desired though, i know there pics aren't "interpolated" or whatever, but they always seem kinda grey and bland.
