I want my pix close, without cropping and zooming in. I prefer them just a couple yards away from set-ups like scrapes, rubs, fence or creek crossings, etc.

Only when I set up cams on the edges of major food sources like Ag fields and foodplots do I position them farther away in order to capture faster moving images with the wider view.

Personally, I want most of my trail cam pix at about this range....

Really? 35 yards is a long ways. My Scoutguards trigger out to around 15 yards.
