Default protecting cameras from theifs

how do yall go about doing this? i want to get a camera to put on a peice of public land that i hunt but i dont want it to walk off..... thanks for any help you can give me.

well, cable locks and maybe a lock box would be great, I wouldn't even attempt it but, if it was me, I would find a cheaper model (if not the cheapest) and put it out, if it walks off you won't be out alot of money.

I use lock boxes on private land.
I doubt I'd ever put my cameras on public land.
A good lock box will cost you $30-45 and a quality shrouded lock is about $20.

In the end all they need is a portable dremel or a chainsaw if they want it bad enough.
I'd go with the above comment on just putting some cheapo cams out like wildviews or stealths.

if they want it bad enough they will find a way to get it. I have seen pictures where thieves have cut the tree down for a camera, and that was on private land.

Exactly as it is.. I purchased a locking kit for mine from the makers of it.. But as stated if someone wants it bad enough they will find a way to get it..

This is why wildviews have a big place in the market. I can't fathom how people can put out a $300 camera these days, even on private land.
