Default Picture Viewing

I don't know what everyone else does to check their digital trail cameras. I had been bringing my laptop with me--cumbersome but better than taking the card home and making another trip back to return it, especially if I'd move it based on low deer traffic.

I just figured out that I can use my GPS unit (Garmin Nuvi 350) to view my trailcam photos! Far smaller and portable for the job! Granted, it won't delete photos, but the card's plenty big enough for that not to be an issue with any regularity!

Has anyone else done this or something similar? What do you do?

I thought about that but it doesn't tell me while I'm in the woods what's happening so that I can move my cam if necessary.

I carry a little Nikon COOLPIX camera and use it to view the card in the field.

We have 2 cards per camera and swap them out. Your camera should tell you how many pictures it has taken when you go to check it, if you feel your camera is in a dead zone you could move based on the photo count.

I don't think mine will tell me how many photos. Even if it did, it doesn't tell me if they're false positive--trees moving, other animals, etc. I think the digital camera idea is great! (Swapping cards to keep photos also works great.

I also bring my digital camera along and pop the memory card into that and can look ast and deltete photos on there. I always have my camera with me so its nice and easy. Then I also carry an extra card so if i want to get a bigger view of the pictures i see on the camera i can switch cards and look at pictures closer on my computer at home

I keep an old Kodak easyshare in my hunting bag.
I usually just swap cards unless I've recently moved a camera.

I use a Cuddeview. You can insert the SD card into the Cuddeview and that allows you to view the pictures, zoom in on the picture, or download them to a CF card.
