he seems to be a very young fawn to me...

That is a very late born fawn. and that is a big doe, almost looks like a buck body

Default One like thst in Jan.

I saw one like that with a spotlight in NJ During winter.
(in NJ spotlighting is legal as long as you don't have a weapon in the truck)
