Default Moultrie M-40 Software Update White Pictures??

How do I update my software? The link on Moultrie's site seems to be missing. I'm getting lots of all white pictures in the late morning and early evening. I heard that updating the software may change the flash settings to avoid this. I already have my camera facing north.

They took it off the website because that firmware had problems too. For the M60 they decided that instead of fixing the firmware, they would stop support of the camera. I called them about the same problem with my M60 and they had me send it in. A week later they sent me a new I40 which I had horrible luck with. I sold it for what I originally paid for the M60 and bought a Scoutguard and Cudde Capture.
I'll never buy another Moultrie.
How old is it? I'd call them.

It's about 2 years old. I just got a reply from Moultrie. They asked what software version I had, and said the problem can be caused by too much shade messing with the photo-eye. If I set it up in a field I don't have that problem.

Yeah, because we all know deer live in the middle of fields...

Better options for the money now anyway. My I40 still works decent after two years, but I think I will be looking elsewhere for future cams.

It was on the edge of a foodplot. Not just in the middle of a field.

I think a trail cam should at least be able to function properly in the woods, maybe I am asking too much.

Moultrie just e-mailed me the software update. I'll be installing it today. We'll see what happens.
