Default true spike

Ive always heard people talk about "True Spikes", bucks that have bad genetics and will never be anything more than a spike. Well heres all the proof that I need. For my area this deer is too big bodied to be a year old and the most convincing evidence I need is that I shot at this deer last fall and missed him but had meat on my broadhead. When i zoomed in on the picture I found that he has a scar across his shoulder blades and it is the exact angle i shot at him and this picture was taken 50 yards from where I shot at him.

All due respect, I believe the analysis is wrong.

No way that deer is more than a year old deer. Bone structure, facial structures, etc just don't support it. Give him a few years and he'll be fine.

well when i can zoom in i can see the exact scar my broadhead scrapes his back from the exact angle, and being this is 50 yards away from where I saw him I think so. As for the size deer dont get the size ur talking about in this part of wv. Ive taken 6 and 8 pointers about the same size.

100% a 1 year old. If that deer is 2 then you have some of the smallest deer I've ever seen and yes I have hunted and seen deer across the country.

Now this is an example of a true bruiser spike. I do believe this deer may be 2 years old compared to the other deer it seems to hang with. However, I am giving him the benifit and I'll wait to see what he is next year.

How many bucks are you allowed to shoot? In PA it's one and done for us. I don't know if I'd want to end my season with that buck. Actually, it would be illegal with our AR.

You may be able to argue the body size, maybe, but based on the facial features, he is 1.5 years old>
