Default Take him or give him a another year?

What do you think, should I shoot this deer this year if he gives me the chance or should I wait to see what he looks like next year?

Depends on the situation. If you are not afraid that other hunter will take him out this year then let him grow. I personally would not pass a buck like that but I hunt public land and some private farms where there are tons of hunters. If you own a lot of land and there is no pressure then let him grow.

Great looking buck either way

Depends on whether you can count on him being there next year. I agree, one more year and he would really be a hoss but what's happening on the properties next to yours? Whatever you decide, good luck.

Blessings.....Pastorjim

I would have a very hard time passing him up but like the others said if there isnt anyone else around that is gonna shoot him it wouldnt hurt to give him another year to mature more.

What do you want to do, that should make the choice more logical. Who cares what we think, if you want to put your tag on it then do so. If that bucks makes you proud which it should, then kill the darn thing. People crack me up sometimes!
