Just got my first trail camera. Set it up at home and I put it out on State Land around my school. I picked a pretty good location so that no one would steal it hopefully.
How many days should I leave it out before I check it. I put it in a good location of a beaten down trail im just worried someone might steal it.
I guess it would depend if you plan on hunting that spot. If so I would leave it out at least a week if not more. But you are worried about it walking. If you are just checking to see how it works, then you could pull it in a few days.

I would say if youre just testing it, leave it out for 3-4 days and see what you have. If you hunt close to home theres no need to fo a 1 or 2 gig card. I have a 256mb card and can fit 350 pics on it.
I liked my wildlife innovations 1.3 the first time I put it out. then the flash quit working at night the second week i put it out. A friend of mine bought one right after I did and his flash quit 2 days after he put it out! they are both going back to Wal-mart ASAP
