Default already shed velvet

when do deer usually shed velvet in western wisconsin. this ones already out.

I saw a nice 8pt early yesterday morning in hard antler. It is a bit early.

I had a couple pics on mon and tuesday, one buck was shed and one wasn't.

Last year I seen seven bucks on opening morning and it was about half/half. The bigger one's were out and the little one's were still in velvet. Hopefully some of the bigger ones will still be in velvet this year

Most here in michigan still have their velvet but did see a few smaller bucks doing some light spearing, this tells me that the horns are hard enough!

I jumped a buck yesterday in a dry swamp that looked like some of the velvet was off.

Here is one I got on the 29th of August, he is just about out of velvet. It is hard to see, but you can see some of it hanging off one side.
