Default Cuddeback Expert Batteries?

I've had a Cuddeback Expert for three years now.....love the performance and pics but it eats D Cell batteries like crazy. Seems like I read on here a while back how somebody hooked up a solar panel and rechargeable battery on their Cuddeback and it worked great. Anybody have any info on this?

Default RE: Cuddeback Expert Batteries?

How many pics are you getting a set a of batteries?
With my expert I am getting between 1,000 and 1,500 pics on a set of batteries when it's not winter out.

Default RE: Cuddeback Expert Batteries?

I love to hate my Experts. great battery life when warm out but horrible during winter. What brand of batteries are you using? I use durrecell and they seem to hold up better than the bunny. Also are you using video? That tends to eat up battery life. Cuddeback told me years ago that 10 seconds of video is equal to 3 pictures.Hope this helped. good luck deerman
