I'm not really sure what it is. I think it's a tumor or wart or something. This past season my cousin shot a buck that ran out into a large old Christmas tree farm. When we finallyfound him we discovered that he had the same things growing all over his body, mostly around his eyes and mouth.

It's a wart. Ugly but harmless. We had a doe killed on our lease a few years ago that had dozens of them. Called the Dept. of Wildlife & Fisheries. Biologist came out within hours. Said they were harmless and confined to skin only. We skinned her. Meat was fine.
