glad we did not encounter him when were in there ...had bear spray and my 500 s & w but don't need that kind of adrenalin rush

That thing is huge. I think that i would give up bow hunting if i got a picture like that, or i would just hunt in the day time and pack some heat. Great picture.

can't hunt brown or grizzly bears over bait. this area brown bears are onlyhunted by drawing permit. and i do not have one. just hunting black bear.
no riflebut i was carrying bear spray and my 500 S & W 425 grain bullets and my partner had 700 grain bullets ( dino busters)in his 500. 80 yard walk to boat not bad but have to keep alert.
brown bears become a real pain it the posterior when they show up at baits have been known to flatten 55 gallon drums. black bears become skidish if they come in at all.
