Default First Spring with the Trail Cams....

These are pictures from two different sites, both with pretty much the same set up with new micro-food plots planted and a new mineral lick, the last few pictures is behind my house, we haven't had a strong deer herd around here in awhile, we have a lot of shotgun hunters who shoot anything that moves especially if they have antlers no matter what the age. Its been my goal the past couple of years to rebuild this site so it can support a deer herd. Hopefully!!! The first pictures are from a new woodlot I was given permission to hunt last year which has turned out to be a honey hole of goodness, it is where I harvested my doe last year and have on other occasions got pictures of numerous 2.5 year old bucks, it would appear a few of them survived, so I am anxious to watch the antler growth....

Nice pics from the mineral site. For the first time thats a no go here. Our DNR tested a deer positive for CWD last August so all mineral use has been banned in the lower penninsula. I really enjoyed getting those pics and surely will miss it this year.

Its a shame about the baiting ban, I know a lot of people who are upset about it....hopefully the disease stays under control and does not spread...Good luck to you as well!!

looks good, how much was the cam? ya the baiting ban sucks for getting good pics, just means I have to work at it alittle hatder.
